Pinterest Ads spend and performance flow into SourceMedium alongside your other ad platforms.

Before you connect

Use the Pinterest account that owns the ad accounts you want to sync, or one with access to them that includes viewing reporting, such as Admin or Analyst. To give a teammate access, open Business Manager, go to Employees, select the person, and choose to assign ad accounts. You authorize access in the platform, so there is no API key to create or SourceMedium setup link to request.
Sign in to SourceMedium, open your store, then choose Data sources → Connect data source and select the platform. You need an Admin or Editor workspace role. After you connect explains the first sync and connection statuses.

How to connect

1

Start the connection

Find Pinterest Ads in the connector picker and choose Connect. The setup page opens on Authorize.
2

Authorize platform access

Follow the authorization action and sign in to Pinterest. Pinterest asks you to approve read access to your ads, Pins, boards and account details. SourceMedium does not change anything in Pinterest. You return to SourceMedium to finish setup. If you cannot authorize it yourself, use Ask someone else to connect where offered.
3

Select accounts

Choose the ad accounts SourceMedium should sync, then save. Authorizing a login does not by itself select its accounts. If an account is missing, check that the authorized login can access it.
4

Follow setup and the first sync

Open the connection details for any remaining setup step and the current sync status. After you connect explains the first load and when reports catch up.
If your workspace cannot start authorization or finish setup, contact support with the status shown on the connection.

Reconnect

If the connection shows Needs reconnection, open it in SourceMedium and click Reconnect. You repeat the steps above: approve access in the platform or paste a new key, then confirm the accounts and save. If you cannot do it yourself, use Ask someone else to connect where it is offered. If the connection shows Paused because SourceMedium paused it after six months without new data, reconnect it the same way. That is the only way to resume it. Your historical data is kept and nothing is scheduled for deletion. See When SourceMedium pauses a data source. A data source you paused yourself resumes with Resume data source instead.
