How to connect
SourceMedium connects to Loop Subscriptions with an Admin API token that you generate in Loop and paste into SourceMedium. Loop offers API tokens on its PRO plan.Sign in to SourceMedium, open your store, then choose Data sources → Connect data source and select the platform. You need an Admin or Editor workspace role.After you connect explains the first sync and connection statuses.

Generate a read-only API token in Loop
In Loop, click Settings in the bottom left corner. Under Admin, click API tokens and webhooks, then Generate New Token. Name it SourceMedium, select Subscription Contracts and Orders, and set each to Read only. Click Generate Token, then Show Token, and copy it. See Loop’s guide: Generate Admin API tokens.

Add the token in SourceMedium
Find Loop Subscriptions in the connector picker and click Connect. Paste the API token and click Connect.

Confirm it is connected
SourceMedium checks the token with Loop before saving it, so a wrong token is rejected on the spot. The connection reads Awaiting first data until the first sync lands, then Connected.
SourceMedium only ever reads from your connected platforms. It does not create, change, or delete anything, so create the key with read-only access wherever the platform offers it. Treat it like a password: keep it confidential and avoid sharing it over email or in spreadsheets. If the credential is rotated or revoked, follow this guide’s connection method to update SourceMedium.
Troubleshooting
- No “API tokens and webhooks” option in Loop? API tokens require Loop’s PRO plan. Ask Loop support about your plan.
- Stuck on Awaiting first data? Check that the token has Read only access to both Subscription Contracts and Orders. In Loop, Edit on the token changes its scopes without replacing it.
