dbt Cloud runs the transforms that write your warehouse. SourceMedium reads account, job, and run metadata into BigQuery.
Sign in to SourceMedium, open your store, then choose Data sources → Connect data source and select the platform. You need an Admin or Editor workspace role.After you connect explains the first sync and connection statuses.

How to connect

Paste a read-only dbt Cloud service token in SourceMedium as account_id:host:token. Do not email the token. Do not use a personal access token.

Create a service token in dbt Cloud

In dbt, open Account settings → Service tokens (or API tokens → Service tokens) and create a token with view access to runs, jobs, and projects. Copy it once. dbt’s own guide: Service account tokens.

Find your account id and host

In Account settings, copy the numeric account id (also in the URL as /settings/accounts/ACCOUNT_ID/). Copy the access URL host with no https://, for example cloud.getdbt.com or ab123.us1.dbt.com. See How to find your dbt IDs.

Add the values in SourceMedium

Find dbt Cloud in the connector picker and click Connect. Paste account_id:host:service_token and click Connect. SourceMedium checks the token against your account before saving it.
SourceMedium only ever reads from your connected platforms. It does not create, change, or delete anything, so create the key with read-only access wherever the platform offers it. Treat it like a password: keep it confidential and avoid sharing it over email or in spreadsheets.
