TikTok Shop orders and storefront performance flow into SourceMedium alongside your other sales channels.

How to connect

SourceMedium connects to TikTok Shop with a one-click authorization. You authorize TikTok Shop yourself, so there is no API key to create and no setup link to wait for.
You connect data sources yourself in SourceMedium. Sign in to your SourceMedium account, open your store, then in the Data sources section click Connect data source and choose the platform. You need an Editor or Admin role on the store. If you have view-only access, ask an admin or editor on your team to connect it.Once it is connected, what happens next covers first-sync timing and what each connection status means.
Only your main TikTok Shop seller account can authorize this connection. Sub-accounts, the staff accounts created under Seller Center → User Management, cannot approve it. This is a TikTok rule about account type, not about permissions, so granting a sub-account more roles or broader access will not change it.If a sub-account starts the authorization, TikTok stops the flow on its own screen with “Sub-accounts are unable to authorize. To authorize, log out and retry with your main seller account.” SourceMedium never receives the attempt, so the connection simply stays unauthorized. You only need the main seller account for this one step. Once it has authorized, your sub-accounts keep working in Seller Center exactly as before.
1

Start the TikTok Shop connection

Find TikTok Shop in the connector picker and click Connect. The Connect TikTok Shop page opens on the Authorize step.
2

Sign in as the main seller account

Before you continue, check which TikTok Shop account you are signed in as. If it is a sub-account, log out of TikTok Shop first and sign back in as the main seller account. Doing this now avoids a failed authorization.
3

Authorize with TikTok Shop

Click Authorize with TikTok Shop. SourceMedium sends you to TikTok Shop in the same tab to approve read-only access, then brings you straight back. If the authorization does not finish, the page explains why and offers Try authorizing TikTok Shop again.
4

Select accounts

Back in SourceMedium, choose the shop you want SourceMedium to read, then save. TikTok Shop connects one shop per connection.
5

Confirm it is connected

The flow finishes on Done and the connection shows Connected. SourceMedium begins syncing.

What data syncs

SourceMedium requests read-only access to your shop’s authorization details, orders, returns and refunds, products, and finance records. There is no write access, so nothing SourceMedium does can change your shop, your listings, or your orders.

Troubleshooting

Log out of TikTok Shop, sign back in as the main seller account (the one that created the shop), and start the connection again. See the warning above.
A failed authorization leaves the connection exactly as it was, with no error on the SourceMedium side, because TikTok stops the flow before SourceMedium is involved. Start the connection again from the Connect TikTok Shop page and watch for the TikTok screen to return you to SourceMedium. If it does not, check which TikTok account approved it.
SourceMedium currently supports TikTok Shop sellers in the United States. If your shop sells in another region, contact your account manager or integrations@sourcemedium.com so we can confirm timing for your market.
