SourceMedium connects to AppLovin with your account’s Reporting Key, which you copy from the AppLovin dashboard and paste into SourceMedium.
Sign in to SourceMedium, open your store, then choose Data sources → Connect data source and select the platform. You need an Admin or Editor workspace role.After you connect explains the first sync and connection statuses.

Copy your Reporting Key in AppLovin
In the AppLovin (Axon) dashboard, click your account in the top right and choose Keys.

Copy the Reporting Key (AppLovin’s docs call it the Report Key). Do not use the Axon Event Key. You also need the advertiser account ID and name for this key. See AppLovin’s guide: Web Reporting API.

Add the key in SourceMedium
Find AppLovin in the connector picker and click Connect. Paste the key into Reporting API key, enter the Advertiser account ID and Advertiser account name, and click Connect AppLovin. Use a key that belongs only to this advertiser.

Confirm it is connected
SourceMedium checks reporting access with AppLovin before saving the key. AppLovin cannot confirm the account ID, so check that it matches the key. SourceMedium’s own AppLovin sync is not live yet, so the connection reads Awaiting first data until it starts.
SourceMedium only ever reads from your connected platforms. It does not create, change, or delete anything, so create the key with read-only access wherever the platform offers it. Treat it like a password: keep it confidential and avoid sharing it over email or in spreadsheets.
