What it shows

A blended view of every connected data source that follows the accounting rules of the Shopify Sales Over Time report, so it matches that report when the same filters are selected.

Reconciliation notes

The Executive Summary mirrors the accounting rules of the Shopify Sales Report and almost always matches it 1:1. Two settings can cause a mismatch:
  1. If your brand has the ‘Exclude $0 Orders’ feature enabled, revenue and order counts will differ. This feature removes otherwise-valid orders with $0 net revenue from all Executive Summary and Retention data. See What is the Exclude $0 Orders feature?
  2. If your Configuration Sheet has data cleaning rules in the Channel Mapping tab (for example, rules routing orders to a channel other than Online DTC), you will see a mismatch when only Online DTC is selected in the channel dropdown. The dropdown is in the top right of the report, under the date range filter.
If you sell through Amazon, deselect “Amazon” in the channel dropdown before comparing the Executive Summary with the Shopify Sales report.
