What it shows

Customers grouped into cohorts by the month of their first order, with every filter applied to that acquisition order.

Questions it answers

Reconciliation notes

  • Revenue defaults to Net Revenue.
  • Filters such as order type and sub-channel apply to the customer’s acquisition order. For example, filtering by a discount code puts a customer in the cohort for the month they first used that code.
  • The Slice filter limits revenue to Subscription, One-time, or All product sales. Filtering to Subscription hides one-time revenue, even for customers who bought both.
  • Cohorts use the order processed date, once the order is at least partially paid.
  • Without a direct subscription platform integration, SourceMedium uses order tags to tell subscription orders from one-time orders.
