# Attio - Integration Instructions

> Prepare read access for Attio CRM records, deal stages, notes, tasks, and calendar meetings.

<Note>
  Raw data only. Attio provides source records for custom warehouse analysis. Prebuilt dashboards and AI analysis are not included.
</Note>

Attio is a CRM for company relationships, contacts, and sales opportunities. This integration covers CRM records and their notes, tasks, and calendar context.

<Info>
  You connect data sources yourself in SourceMedium. Sign in to your [SourceMedium account](https://urchin.sourcemedium.com), open your store, then in the **Data sources** section click **Connect data source** and choose the platform. You need an **Editor** or **Admin** role on the store. If you have view-only access, ask an admin or editor on your team to connect it.

  Once it is connected, [what happens next](/docs/data-inputs/platform-integration-instructions/after-you-connect) covers first-sync timing and what each connection status means.

## Vendor documentation

| Topic | Official guide |
| - | - |
| Create and manage a workspace token | [Generate an API key](https://attio.com/help/reference/apps/generating-an-api-key) |
| Token permissions and workspace identity | [Identify the current access token](https://docs.attio.com/rest-api/endpoint-reference/meta/identify) |

## Requirements

* An Attio workspace admin who can create an access token.
* Read access to companies, people, and deals in the workspace being connected.
* A workspace token with these scopes: `object_configuration:read`, `record_permission:read`, `note:read`, `task:read`, `meeting:read`, and `user_management:read`.

Write access is not required. Existing read-write grants also satisfy these read permissions.

## Connect your workspace

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a workspace access token">
    In Attio, open the menu beside your workspace name, choose **Workspace settings**, then **Developers** and **+ New access token**. Name it **SourceMedium** and grant the read scopes above.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect in SourceMedium">
    Select your store, open the connector picker, and choose **Attio**. Paste the workspace access token in the credential form. SourceMedium checks its activity and read permissions before saving it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  SourceMedium only ever reads from your connected platforms. It does not create, change, or delete anything, so create the key with **read-only** access wherever the platform offers it. Treat it like a password: keep it confidential and avoid sharing it over email or in spreadsheets. If the credential is rotated or revoked, follow this guide's connection method to update SourceMedium.
</Note>

## What data is covered

| Data | Coverage |
| - | - |
| Companies and people | CRM records, contact details, relationships, and custom attribute values |
| Deals | Current deal records and available historical deal-stage intervals |
| Notes and tasks | Written record notes, task content, assignments, and linked records |
| Meetings | Calendar titles, descriptions, times, participants, and linked records |
| Workspace configuration | Members, object and attribute definitions, select options, and statuses |

Meetings contain calendar metadata. They do not include call recordings or transcripts. Email content, files, comments, lists, and additional custom object records are outside this integration's current coverage.

## Snapshot behavior

The connector reads complete snapshots rather than an update-time cursor. Records become current only after a complete snapshot is published. Use the published snapshot for current-state analysis; older generations may remain in the raw storage.

Only history still exposed by Attio can be imported. A full snapshot does not reconstruct deleted records or historical changes the API no longer provides.
