# Choose raw data for your warehouse

> Select source tables for your BigQuery warehouse, check when they arrive, and stop updates when you no longer need them.

Open **Warehouse → Raw data** in your SourceMedium workspace to choose the source tables delivered to your BigQuery project. Use these for custom analysis that needs the original source fields.

This is available on an active **dedicated warehouse**. It is not included in the shared Foundation warehouse. [Compare Foundation and Pro](/docs/data-activation/managed-data-warehouse/overview.md#foundation-and-pro). Admins and Editors can change the selection; Viewers can inspect it. If you have a dedicated warehouse and the tab is missing, [contact support](/docs/product-tours/get-support.md) to check delivery setup.

## Select and save tables

1. Open **Browse**. Connected sources appear first. Search by source or table name, and expand a table to see its columns.
2. Select the tables you want. The selection covers your workspace's connected stores. If the source is not connected yet, connect it first.
3. Choose **Review changes**, check the additions and removals, then choose **Save changes**. Until you save, you can choose **Discard** to cancel your changes.
4. Open **Selected** to follow delivery. Once a table arrives, use its **Open in BigQuery** action or copy its full table name.

Review the tables being added or removed, then save your changes. This example adds Shopify products.

Your table limit appears at the top of the page. To add more than the limit, remove another table or choose **Request more tables**.

## When the data arrives

Selected tables land in `your_project.sm_sources` after the next refresh. They refresh after SourceMedium's reporting builds, at least twice a day on weekdays.

The first copy includes the history SourceMedium has already collected for your stores. Selecting a table does not extend the platform's history window or finish a backfill immediately. Check the source's [integration guide](/docs/data-inputs/platform-integration-instructions/all-available-integrations.md) for its limits.

## Check delivery status

![Selected raw tables with Delivered statuses, Open in BigQuery links, and Copy name buttons](https://mintcdn.com/sourcemedium/u9RI5tkYpJHsn3uK/images/workspace-guides/raw-data-selected.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=u9RI5tkYpJHsn3uK\&q=85\&s=b36eeda920029726cdfe701f8856e42f)

Selected shows each table's status and its BigQuery link. This example has two delivered Shopify tables.

| Status | What to do |
| - | - |
| **Delivered** | Open the table. The row shows when it was updated or last checked |
| **Awaiting first delivery** | Wait for the next refresh |
| **Delayed** | Read the detail. If the delay persists, contact support with the table name |
| **No new rows** | The previous contents were kept because the source had no rows for your stores |
| **Nothing to deliver** | Read the reason shown for that table |
| **Needs attention** | Reconnect the source to collect new data |
| **No longer offered** | Remove it from your selection. Its existing BigQuery copy stays in place |

Select a status count to filter the list. A source can be connected while its first warehouse delivery is still pending.

## Remove a table

Deselect it, choose **Review changes**, and save. This stops updates and leaves the existing table in BigQuery. If you also want to delete the copy, do that in BigQuery.

Disconnecting a source stops new collection. To stop updates to its delivered tables as well, remove them from your Raw data selection. See [Data retention and deletion](/docs/help-center/data-retention.md) for the separate rules on data SourceMedium has collected.

> **Before building with raw tables**
>
> Raw tables contain extracted source values. For numbers that follow SourceMedium's dashboard definitions, use [sm\_transformed\_v2](/docs/data-activation/data-tables/sm_transformed_v2/index.md).
>
> SourceMedium replaces each selected table on refresh, so edits to it will be overwritten. Build your own tables and views in a separate dataset. Access follows your BigQuery permissions.
>
> Expand a table's columns in the workspace to check any excluded personal identifiers or nested records before you build with it.
