# dim_stores

> Store metadata: name, brand, website, logo, currency, and timezone.

Store metadata as configured in SourceMedium, one row per active store. Use it to name the stores behind `sm_store_id`, group stores by brand, or show a store's logo in a dashboard.

* **Grain:** One row per `sm_store_id`. Not a time series; the table is rebuilt in full every day.
* **Joins:** Every table on `sm_store_id` (1:many). Join it to name stores in any result, or to filter to one brand's stores.
* **Currency:** `store_currency_code` is the currency configured for the store. Order amounts carry their own currency on every row (`order_currency_code`), so label money from those columns and do not add amounts across currencies.
* **Sources:** this table does not list a store's integrations. To see which sources carry data for a store, use `sm_metadata.dim_data_dictionary`.

## Columns

| Column | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `sm_store_id` | STRING | SourceMedium store identifier. |
| `store_name` | STRING | The store's name in SourceMedium. |
| `brand_name` | STRING | The brand the store belongs to. Several stores can share a brand, for example one per region. |
| `store_url` | STRING | The store's website as configured in SourceMedium. Null when none is set. |
| `store_logo_url` | STRING | Image URL of the store's own logo as configured in SourceMedium. Null when none is set; use `store_url` to look one up from the website. |
| `store_currency_code` | STRING | ISO 4217 currency configured for the store. Order money columns carry their own currency (`order_currency_code`, `order_converted_currency_code`); label order amounts with those. |
| `store_timezone` | STRING | IANA timezone configured for the store. Order local-time columns use it, except Amazon orders, which are reported in America/Los\_Angeles. |
